Dr. M. Govinda Rao is the Chairman of the Karnataka Regional Imbalances Redressal Committee. He is also a Councillor, Takshashila Institution, Bangalore. His past positions include Member, 14 th Finance Commission (2013-14), Director. NIPFP (2003-13) and Member, EAC to the Prime Minister (2004-2013). He has served a number of Union and State committees as a Chairman and Member. He has published widely in public finance. His latest book is Studies in Indian Public Finance, Oxford University Press, 2022. He is also the Managing Editor of an online bi-monthly journal, Indian Public Policy Review.
