Pritika Hingorani is the CEO (India) for Artha Global. She also leads Artha Global’s work on cities. Pritika has spent close to 20 years in the development sector; as Director and Research Fellow of IDFC Institute, a Mumbai-based think/do tank, she helped build and scale the organisation over 10 years. She was previously Senior Vice President at IDFC’s Policy Advisory Group where she advised on the India’s national housing mission and the proposed 2013 India Water Policy. She served as a consultant to the Indian Institute of Human Settlements, India’s newest urban planning school, and co-founded the Urban Expansion Observatory, one of India’s first geospatial laboratories, in partnership with New York University and Pillai College.

Prior to her work in the development sector, Pritika spent several years in economic consulting with Charles River Associates across their Financial Economics, International Trade and Anti Trust practices in Washington DC and London. Pritika has a Masters in City Planning and Development Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a dual Bachelors degree in Economics and Political Science (Honours) from Bryn Mawr College. She is trained in development economics at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London and in Alternate Dispute Resolution from George Washington University.

She serves on the Board of Trustees of SaveLife Foundation, the Board of Reviews for CEPT University and on the Judging Academy of the World’s Best School’s Prize. In 2015, she was awarded MIT’s Excellence in Public Service Award, as one of two alumni recognised annually for their contribution to public service.
