Rohan George is the founder of Ad Idem, a legal technology company that enhances, accelerates and automates legal tasks using AI and machine learning technology. Ad Idem is currently building Consensus, a tool for disputes intelligence, analytics and action.

Rohan George earlier headed the intellectual property and the Chennai office of the national law firm, Samvad Partners. He also handled dispute resolution matters in Chennai. Rohan has been involved in a number of litigations relating to key issues in intellectual property and law and technology. Rohan was involved in India’s first decision on software patentability, Yahoo!Inc vs the Asst Controller of Patents. Rohan also represented stakeholders in the Antony Clement Rubin vs Union of India writ petition, which was filed seeking to interlink Aadhaar and other government IDs with social media for identity authentication purposes. He is also actively involved in policy. In the course of his policy engagements, Rohan has worked on projects for the Department of Chemicals and Fertilisers, the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, the Indian Music Industry, and the United Nations Conference for Trade and Development (UNCTAD). He is also a special invitee to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Chennai Committee on Indian and PCT Patent Filings.

Rohan has a B.A., LL.B (Hons.) from the NALSAR University, Hyderabad, (2004), and a LLM from Columbia University, USA (2009), (Lawrence A. Wein Fellow).
