
Suyash Rai is the Chair of Research at the CEPT Urban Planning and Design Foundation, a Centre of Excellence under the CEPT University. His present research is focused on improving the theory and practice of urban planning in India. His other areas of interest are: political economy, public institutions, and economic development. He has previously worked at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace India, National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, Dvara Trust, and ICICI Bank. He has held consulting positions at the World Bank and the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. He has published several working papers and book chapters as well as newspaper columns.
