Tanika Chakraborty is an Associate Professor of Economics at IIM Calcutta. Formerly, she worked at DIW Berlin, and IIT Kanpur, after completing her PhD in Economics from Washington University, St Louis. She is a Fellow at IZA Bonn, CESifo Munich and the Global Labor Organization. Tanika works in Development Economics with a focus on policy. Her research has featured in the Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization and Demography, among others. She also served as a member of the expert group on minimum wage of the Government of India.
