At Actis, Abhishek is responsible for originating and managing energy investments in South Asia. Abhishek has over 15 years of investing experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors in Asian markets. He was instrumental in setting up Actis’ Ostro wind platform in India from its fund Actis Energy 3, which was successfully exited in 2018. He is currently managing Actis’ Sprng Energy business from its fund Actis Energy 4 and leading new energy investment for Actis in India.

Before joining Actis in 2012, Abhishek was with the International Finance Corporation in New Delhi for 7 years, where he was involved in South Asian equity and debt investments in the infrastructure space, with focus primarily on the power sector.

Abhishek holds an Engineering degree from IIT Kanpur and an MBA from IIM Calcutta.
